Rikita ASMR to handle a series of her works: the Embedded Files. These are translucent paraffin sculptures containing a collection of images and objects. Part recording medium, part preservation method, part time capsule, these blocks are the materialisation of computer uses in hybrid objects, bringing together technology&#13;\nand D.I.Y.&#13;\nThe video <em>\u2728Unboxing + tapping + whisper\u2728 with Rikita ASMR<\/em>, features shadowy hands probing each capsule in a perfectly choreographed, synchronised gesture reminiscent of both teleshopping and palmistry (reading the lines of the hand). This tactile and sonic discovery is accompanied by the soothing voice of Rikita ASMR.&#13;\nThe video mediates between the Embedded Files and the spectators, using the codes of ASMR. This work is part of an exploration of the phenomena generated by the Internet. Refusing to comment on the future &#8211; utopian or dystopian &#8211; of the Web, she borrows from its culture of collaboration and DIY. The artist collects visual materials that she manipulates and reworks to create displacements that encourage hybridization and relational meshing. In installations that often combine digital and handmade techniques, she gives materiality to fluid, elusive phenomena.
