On a deep blue floor, a woman and a man perform their love relationship to the point of exhaustion: a contemporary pas de deux, in the violence of the norm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A celebration of love, or of the suffering of love? The \u201cpas de deux<\/em>\u201d comes with its own historical charge. It is, par excellence, the dance structure in which the normative imagery of heterosexuality flourishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, the dancers are locked together. Their bodies, summoned to interact – to hold hands, to support each other in a figure, to carry each other – become embroiled in a spiral of oppression. How, through the exhaustion of gestures, will these bodies be able to resist on their own, and detach themselves from this imposed choreography?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A proposal by Festival Parall\u00e8le in co-production with CHRONIQUES – Biennial of Digital Imaginaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
