A multitude of luminous spheres digitizes the space and transforms it into a dynamic, multisensory universe. With *Globoscope*, Collectif Coin seeks to reproduce, on a large scale, the functioning of a screen\u2014each luminous sphere represents one of its pixels. The floor itself is the screen. It\u2019s as if we were walking among the pixels of a monumental screen. Viewed from above, the movement of the light could create an image. The movement of the light is predetermined and controlled by lines of code written by Maxime Houot. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Coin Collective<\/h2>\n

Based in Grenoble, at the third place called La Bifurk,<\/span> Collectif Coin was founded in 2009 by Maxime Houot, a physicist by training. He uses digital art as a medium to explore themes of <\/span>movement<\/b> and <\/span>space<\/b>, while challenging our perception of these concepts. For each new project, he leads a team assembled based on the project\u2019s needs, the required expertise, and the desire to collaborate. The collective is therefore not made up of permanent members, but operates on a modular basis. <\/span><\/p>\n

Coin focuses on producing installations and performances that range from monumental to intimate. Maxime Houot wears, in turn, the hats of musician, set designer, and \u201ctinkerer\u201d when it comes to electronics and microcontrollers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Originally, Collectif Coin was a nonprofit organization formed around a music group. Gradually, the collective began experimenting with performance art, photography, and video.
