\u201cSerpentine Night\u201d<\/em> is a video installation that explores California\u2019s system of geological faults. This mosaic paints a portrait of the concept of a fault line between reality and fiction, the real world and the virtual world, geography and emotions. Here, invisible terrestrial phenomena will be examined, as well as very human fault lines\u2014the tremors within societies. By giving a voice to the earth, it is possible to move beyond dominant anthropocentric narratives; listening to non-human entities becomes a way to heal our extractivist relationship with territories. To resist is to imagine other ontologies with a stronger connection between inhabitants and their territories, to speculate that they can cross the fault line, and to build and create within the fissure. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
