Do Not Feed the Troll<\/em> is a video installation inspired by the working-class wig: the repurposing of time and work materials to create personal objects. While working as a temporary employee in a logistics warehouse, Olivier B\u00e9mer secretly films his work with a hidden camera and covertly crafts small hybrid figures. Scanned and then animated in 3D, these figures intrude into the film, gradually disrupting reality.

Somewhere between documentary and symbolic sabotage, *Do Not Feed the Troll*<\/em> revives the tradition of the wig through a new form of manual labor, seeking to slow things down, disrupt the status quo, and resist from within through confusion, play, and fiction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Olivier B\u00e9mer<\/h2>\n
<\/div>\n\n \n \n

Olivier B\u00e9mer was born in Paris in 1989, where he lives and works. Through films, installations, objects, and prints, her work explores our relationship with technology as a means of representation and depicts a distorted reality in which archetypes simulate but fail to represent. Form is thus diverted from its function, and so is the learning machine. Olivier B\u00e9mer is a graduate of ECAL, the Beaux-Arts de Paris, and the Fresnoy National Studio. His work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions\u2014including at the Emerige Foundation, the Fiminco Foundation, the CWB Paris, and the Pernod Ricard Foundation\u2014as well as in solo exhibitions, notably at the Weiss Endowment Fund in Paris.
