By transforming the quality of the air into the quality of light, she shows this environmental problem in an interactive, but also dreamlike and poetic way.

Following the principles of biomimicry, its shape and design are inspired by the architecture of garden birds’ nests. It is made of recycled plastic, in a process of transforming waste into artistic material. Its interactive device, inspired by kinetic art, reveals the traces left by some of our polluting activity on the planet.

The installation designed by Diego Ortiz and Hernan Zambrano acts as an eye-opener and a source of information, but also as a sentinel and a refuge: while alerting us to our role in atmospheric pollution, it offers us the prospect of concrete alternatives for our lifestyles, such as frugality, reuse and observation of the living.

© Diego Ortiz

© Diego Ortiz

Share this event on social networks

<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=<;url>" onclick="return fbs_click()" target="_blank" class="facebookLink">

Artists

Diego Ortiz (FRA)

Diego Ortiz is a Franco-Colombian artist born in Cali, Colombia in 1980.
