To mark the opening of the Biennale of Digital Imaginaries, the Market of Digital Imaginaries invites professionals from the cultural and creative industries to examine the impact of digital technologies on the creative process. At the intersection of artistic, economic, and forward-looking perspectives, this international event explores the challenges and objectives of these transformations, with the aim of strengthening our capacity for action.<\/p>\n\n

Following a 2024 edition marked by rich discussions and the participation of more than 40 nationalities, this second edition of MIN aims to examine the role of digital technology in the transition challenges facing the creative and cultural industries. Digital technologies, now at the heart of these industries, are often seen as the key to their future growth. A suitable solution to support the shift from one model to another. But what transition are we talking about? What transformations does digital technology actually bring about while facing economic or ecological constraints?<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The guests will explore the topic from the perspectives of adaptation strategies, resistance movements, and, at times, even distancing oneself from digital technology. Through four thematic areas, we will examine the challenges and objectives of these transformations in order to strengthen our capacity to act, both individually and collectively.<\/p>\n\n

MIN is also a festive and welcoming networking hub designed to accelerate collaboration and business development. It also offers the opportunity to broaden your professional horizons from October 28 to November 1 by engaging with the ICC ecosystems in Arles, Avignon, and Marseille, in addition to the meetings and conferences in Aix-en-Provence.<\/p>\n\n

Theme <\/strong>Beyond Transition<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n\n

Digital technologies, now at the heart of the cultural and creative industries, are often seen as the key to the sector\u2019s growth\u2014a suitable solution to facilitate the shift from one model to another. But what exactly are we talking about when we refer to these transitions? What changes does digital technology actually bring about?Economically speaking, the CCI are questioning the viability of their business models and the financial support needed to navigate these changes. Many technological promises, however, come up against the limited resources of our world and bring to mind the ecological challenges often sidelined by a succession of crises. Nevertheless, a digital shift is already well underway. It is most evident in creative practices\u2014those of artists, entrepreneurs, and researchers. It is also evident in the practices of the public. Where and how is art created today? In what spaces does it unfold? What are these new cultural experiences? These perspectives are all the more exciting because they position art and culture as new worlds\u2014not to be conquered, but to be imagined.<\/p>\n\n
