Parallels is an experience of light and architectural sound inspired by the movements and sounds of our natural environments. The moving images create endless abstract and living atmospheres, alternating between moments of serenity and eruptions of chaos.
Programme presented as part of the Biennale d’Aix
Architecture Social Club envelops spectators in fields of moving light, set to music by Max Cooper. The Parallels project by English studio Architecture Social Club offers a light and sound experience inspired by the dynamic movement of natural vibrations. This luminous environment is created by thousands of laser beams reflected by mirrors, enveloping spectators in moving fields of light and set to music by Max Cooper. These moving images extend into vivid, abstract atmospheres of perpetual evolution, creating ethereal fragments of natural phenomena that pulsate, fade and shimmer, alternating, like the world itself, between moments of serenity and intense chaos.
Architecture Social Club is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design studio, operating in the overlapping domains of art, architecture, music and technology. Endlessly curious, we design and build tools to create experiences and tell stories that aim to stimulate and empower participants towards deeper, more meaningful connections between people, phenomena and their environment.
