PIB – Plaisir Intérieur Brutoffers a contemporary vision of the pleasures and demons of our times, a group show that explores the commodification of desire in the digital age.
The injunction to Happiness and its representation are going viral, pushing us to put ourselves on stage, confronting us with the constant pressure to become a better version of ourselves.
The works on display question these commercial strategies and reveal the transformation of even our most intimate relationships into transactions. Highlighting the paradoxes of our times, this exhibition confronts us with the dark and brutal reality behind fairy-tale facades, where each work becomes a mirror of our complex realities and subjectivities.
In coproduction with Friche la Belle de Mai. With the support of the Mondriaan Fund, the Dutch Embassy in Paris, and the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Flanders.
