L’infini turbulent, a title borrowed from Michaux but oh so evocative of Boris Labbé’s work, brings together a little more than ten years of the artist’s audiovisual practice and experimentation.
Combining the use of digital techniques of the moving image and those particular to animated cinema, the films and installations presented form an original and bubbling language; a universe in perpetual (re)construction carrying within itself the possibility of a possible disappearance.
This monograph also allows the public to discover the work done by Boris Labbé for the latest creation of the Ballet Preljocaj, Swan Lake. Especially for this exhibition, the artist has adapted the various paintings created for the Lake in a new setting in the Gothic Gallery of the Musée des Tapisseries and will add a musical creation by composer Mattéo Marson.
A monographic exhibition conceived by CHRONIQUES, at the departmental cultural space – 21, bis Mirabeau and at the Musée des Tapisseries, co-produced with the Département des Bouches-du-Rhône and with the support of the City of Aix-en-Provence.
