From animated films to digital arts, inauguration of L’infini turbulent, by Boris Labbé

L’infini turbulent, a title borrowed from Michaux but oh so evocative of Boris Labbé’s work, brings together a little more than ten years of the artist’s audiovisual practice and experimentation.
Combining the use of digital techniques of the moving image and those particular to animated cinema, the films and installations presented form an original and bubbling language; a universe in perpetual (re)construction carrying within itself the possibility of a possible disappearance.
This monograph also allows the public to discover the work done by Boris Labbé for the latest creation of the Ballet Preljocaj, Swan Lake. Especially for this exhibition, the artist has adapted the various paintings created for the Lake in a new setting in the Gothic Gallery of the Musée des Tapisseries and will add a musical creation by composer Mattéo Marson.

Incubators of digital imagination, SECONDE NATURE and ZINC have been working for many years to promote and bring out contemporary creation. Now united under the name CHRONIQUES, they organise the Biennale of Digital Imaginations, the third edition of which will be held at the end of 2022 and will have Night as its theme.
