To celebrate the closing of this year’s edition, we’re more than happy to welcome Nyege Nyege for an evening like no other. On stage, producer, rapper and pioneering DJ Catu Diosis, one of Nigeria’s most dynamic and acclaimed artists Aunty Rayzor and bubbling trendsetter De Schuurman.
Program co-produced with Espace Julien.
Catu Dioisis is a young Kampala-based dj and producer who has been digging and playing underground music since 2016. She’s quite experimental with her musical selection depending on the vibe of her gigs. However, it’s obvious that she’s fallen in love with Afro-inspired bass music. She’s still fresh on the scene and we can’t wait to hear more sounds from her.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Bisola Olugbenga a.k.a. Aunty Rayzor got her start in the music business at an early age, singing regularly in church with her family. She then honed her incredible vocal skills in hip-hop battles, where her razor-sharp delivery as fast as a Japanese knife gave her her nickname. Today, not only does Aunty Rayzor command the respect of her experienced peers, she’s ready to conquer the world!
Gilermo Schurman, a young prodigy from The Hague, followed in the footsteps of his uncle DJ Chippie (one of the genre’s co-founders) and his cousins DJ Daycard, DJ Master-D., Stiko Jnr and DJ Justme, and started playing and writing beats. Using Fruityloops, he fuses familiar bubbling rhythms with rap and R&B samples, trance synths and electrohouse wobbles, and his tracks quickly become staples of the Dutch circuit.
