Through a variety of works, the artists explore our representations in the age of selfies, the duality of our professional and personal identities, and the materialization of virtual interactions. The works in this exhibition question our relationship with social networks, revealing the paradoxes of self-representation and the fine line between reality and fiction. By exploring and hijacking beauty tutorials and ASMR videos, the works plunge us into a snapshot of creation on the net, and reflect the addiction to notifications and the obsession with “likes”, illustrating a reality dominated by the constant flow of information. In this way, the exhibition offers a critical and poetic vision of our digital identity, from image manipulation to the quest for validation, and how we shape and are shaped by algorithms and web culture.
