DISTORTION

Ghassan salameh

Practical informations

In curatorial research residence from March to May 2022 at 3 bis f – Centre for Contemporary Arts

Research meetings in spring in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille

Distortion is a multidisciplinary artistic and curatorial research project initiated in 2016.

In an anthropological, social and urban approach and through the prism of cartography, Ghassan Salameh conducts investigations of a decolonial, political, economic and ecological nature that unfold in several chapters. In the context of his research residency at 3 bis f – Centre for Contemporary Arts with CHRONIQUES, he wishes to focus more specifically on communities of artists in exile.

During his immersion at the Montperrin Hospital, he will engage in a dialogue with the nursing, administrative and technical staff. Attentive to the sensitive nature of these professional trajectories and to the problems they face as a result of organisational or financial restructuring or, more recently, the health crisis, he wishes to open a space for dialogue and listening. His research could lead him in particular to the dimensions of solidarity and community specific to this context.
