As she reflects on topics related to AI, Albertine Meunier is fascinated by the sheer volume of AI-generated images and videos of Trump that have been flooding social media since 2024. Each one is absurd—Trump as a fighter pilot, a crowned king, or the pope—but all are unsettling and formidable.
Upon discovering Steve Bannon’s 2018 quote—“Flood the zone with shit”—she realized that AI makes it possible to implement this strategy quickly, efficiently, and flawlessly.
This film attempts to shed light on a process designed to overwhelm: the transformation of propaganda from a labor-intensive craft to a quasi-industrial, automated production process. Showing how Trump floods the media and social media with AI-generated content helps us realize the deluge in which we are all swimming.
Albertine Meunier
Born in 1964, Albertine Meunier lives and works in Paris and Vitry-sur-Seine.
She has been practicing what is known as digital art since 1998 and uses the Internet as a medium for her work. She explores the essence of poetry, digital aesthetics, and networks. She favors simple, minimalist forms—which sometimes seem “homemade”—deliberately steering clear of the hyper-technical nature of certain digital systems.
These works take a critical yet playful look at major internet players such as Google, Twitter, and Facebook, as well as the new world around us.
Through her research and the works she creates, she seeks to reveal the invisible or the poetry of digital things.
