The works featured in the exhibition bring to light three voices of artists from the southern shore of the Mediterranean. Voices are precisely the focus of Maïssane Alibrahimi’s work, which transforms objects drawn from the domestic sphere into forms of feminist resistance that are both sensitive and political. The clatter of pots and pans transformed into sonic bodies of protest, porcelain fragments reassembled to deconstruct rituals, censored scenes of kissing: the artist reveals the symbolic and political power that lies dormant in these spaces, which are all too often rendered invisible.

The question of Mediterranean identity also runs through Dorra Hichri’s work. Through immersive installations that combine microscopic projections, crystallized water, light, plants, and scientific protocols, the artist reveals often-invisible phenomena: water circulation and inequalities in access, organic transformations, and the fragility of ecosystems. Drawing on methods akin to scientific research, she repurposes analytical tools to create sensory experiences where poetry and political ecology converge.

Yassin Agrbi explores another form of invisibility: that of waste, relegated out of sight and yet omnipresent. Using electronic scrap and cigarette filters coated with UV-reactive pigments, the artist creates installations that transform into luminous growths resembling seaweed. By revealing a haunting, almost organic beauty, Yassin Agrbi paradoxically challenges our relationship to pollution and cycles of transformation.
